About me
My name is Viviana, I was born in 1990 in Naples, Italy. I have always loved reading and writing, so I turned my passion into my job. I studied in Italy (University of Naples “Federico II”) and France (École normale supérieure de Lyon) and taught in Poland (University of Economics in Kraków). All the pictures you see in my website were shot during my trips around the world. After my graduation I started teaching English as a Second Language in Italy (British School Group) to students from kindergarten to middle school.
Currently, I work and live in Florida. In 2021, I earned my Ph.D. in Comparative Studies from Florida Atlantic University. My dissertation engages with issues of ethics and collaborative writing in the French, Francophone, and Italian traditions. Starting from Spring 2022, I am a Lecturer of French at the University of Miami, and I also serve as the Director of Undergraduate Studies of French.
I am an ACUE-certified instructor and I have taught French, Italian, and World Literature both at the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University.
Because of my passion for digital humanities, I have always been interested in the potentialities of online teaching. For this reason, over the past four years I have earned experience both in designing and teaching online courses. I have made my professional priority to develop effective teaching techniques to improve students’ online learning experience
